Screen Shot 2015-10-31 at 19.34.05This week I got some powdered almond milk and I was a little bit at a loss as to what to do with it. Then Friday morning I forgot to take my breakfast to work and went to get some porridge. Just as I was pouring the hot water into some shop bought porridge. I should try and make my own and it couldn’t be more simple. So here are my healthy instant porridge pots and they are delicious if I do say so myself.

500g Porridge oats

200g milk powder of choice (I used the almond milk powder pictured – available on amazon and in larger health food stores.)

  1. Place your oats and milk powder into a bowl.
  2. Mix.
  3. Portion out the mix into individual tubs. (I used 50g per portion but use whatever works for you).
  4. Add the toppings of your choice. This morning I went for simple blueberries.

When you want to make your oats fill with about 100ml of water. For me that was just enough to cover the oats plus a little bit. Measure it out once, then you will be able to do it by eye next time. Simple!

These instant porridge pots have been perfect for breakfast on the go. I can take it to the gym in the morning and when I get to work I have a tasty nutritious breakfast.

Tag me if you try it.
